Register Company in Davao City, Philippines
Davao City is known for its agriculture industry. This “next wave city” as referred to by the Business Process Association of the Philippines (BPAP), still struggles with the negative perception that the City’s streets are unsafe. Despite this negative publicity, there are still investors interested to set their company’s roots in Mindanao’s largest city.
Davao’s City Government has a division under the office of the City Mayor known as Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC). This division was created through City Ordinance No. 2269 to improve the city’s economy and the hope to bring new investment to the city.
DCIPC provides fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to new or expanding businesses either single proprietorships, partnerships, corporations or cooperatives.
Example of Fiscal Incentives:
- Exemption from payment of business/mayor’s permit, building fees, business sales tax for three years from the time commercial operations commenced.
- Exemption from payment of basic real property tax for two years from the time the application of incentives have been approved.
Other incentives:
- BOI
- PEZA
